County Roads
Here is a list by township. It is worth noting, some roads seem to have liberties or simplifications that were
likely not original. Brackets are current names of roads were not named on old map
ARMSTRONG
Harmony and Boonville Road - true to current Boonville-New Harmony Rd route. Western segment doesn't hook north to St Wendel enough
Cynthiana Road - splits off from Darmstadt Rd roughly Orchard Rd and northwest to BNH (Bromm Rd?). Continues northwest toward
county line following near IN-65 / Big Cynthiana Rd
GERMAN
[St Wendel Road] - true to current route, splits off Cynthiana Rd and follows northwest to town of St Wendel. Intersects BNH a little far south than it should
[Buente Road] - from St Wendel Rd to BNH. Doesnt continue north like it does presently
[New Harmony Road] - leaves town near Pennsylvania St doesnt meet up till Germantown. Path doesnt quite line up
[Mesker Park Dr] - leaves town near Maryland St but doesnt meet up till Germantown path doest quite line up
[Mt Vernon Ave / Upper Mt Vernon Road] - leaves town roughly Pennsylvania St. Path very straight vs the current
PERRY
West Franklin Road - leaves town Broadway and Lower Mt Vernon Road splits off, follows Smith-Diamond Rd to town of West Franklin
[Lower Mt Vernon Road] - leaves town Broadway (labeled West Franklin Rd). Splits off where West Franklin Rd heads more south and LMV heads west
[Middle Mt Vernon Rd] - splits off Broadway / Lower Mt Vernon Rd. Westernmost segment is a little north or current route
UNION
Old Henderson Road - follows river the around whole township including Golden Rule Rd. It is this road and not Cypress-Dale Rd that connects back to West Franklin Rd. Possibly impacted by changes in Ohio River
[?] - diagonal road cuts across Union Township, not quite Bayou Creek Road or Cypress-Dale Rd. Possibly impacted by flooding
SCOTT
State Road - the original road to Evansville. Follows very closely with Old State Rd
[Princeton Road] - continuation of Darmstadt Rd which splits off north of town of Darmstadt. Follows closer with Darmstadt Rd and not Princeton Rd
[Inglefield Road] - connects Darmstadt Rd with Old State Road. Ingle Station is situated where the RR crosses
[?] - cut through road of off Old State Rd that bypasses Ingle's place. Not there?
[Cemetery Road?] - splits of Petersburg Rd but not clear which road it represents since Petersburg is slightly out of alignment. Shares some route with Cemetery Rd, Volkman Rd, and Barton Rd
CENTER
[Petersburg Rd] - splits off State Rd and closely follows current route. Northernmost section is a little to the west of the Old Hwy 57
[Oak Hill Road] - splits off Boonville highway farther east than current alignment. Lines up better to north - turns with Whetstone Rd and ends at Petersburg Rd
[Boonville Highway] - leaves town from Virginia St. Oak splits off splits off farther east than present route. Not drawn on top half of map?
[Darmstadt Road] - leaves north from Fifth Ave / Kratzville Rd but lines up northern part of township.
KNIGHT
[Newburgh Road / OLD Green River Rd] - follows Ohio River
Green River Road - diagonally southeast from near Oak Hill, then south. Is this tied to the section line road NEW Green River Rd? What about Sandpit Rd?
