Large two-story brick home O in old map Located just south of his brewery hartmetz dies c1899

becomes childrens home 1901 later moves to guardian home on lincoln oct 1901 hartmetz home is selcted by board of children's guardians becomes childrens home temporary solution 1903 outgrew quarters and started to raise money jul 1904 work started on new home near Lincoln

house stood until 1938 replaced with simple 1 story building built by parks service. field office for Mesker Park later parks building for Mesker Park (built c1930) and later central dispatch looks like still around 1922 targeted for purchase by city razed < 1938 for mesker park field office
