founded 1913 / 1916 as bible school first ave methodist mission church organized 1917 in portable building at emma roach (fifth and cedar) fifth ave me portable building erected 1917 portable first of its kind dedicated 9/2/1917 allen and fifth ave (uhlhorn 1923) fifth ave me church mission ne corner 5th and allen [1922] portable church

merged with center ridge 1923

in old 1961 aerial 1962-68 old Bethlehem ME building relocated to site of old asbury parsonage 1940 (1902 n fulton) parsonage moved to present site of old church (uhlhorn between fulton and fifth) after bethlehem church united with simpson fall of 1939 trustees ave their building to asbury church move took about 4 days the old asbury church was moved about nine miles southeast of the city and remodeled into a residence the new building will be remodeled before the asbury methodist congregation opens services in it services of the church were conducted in the good shepherd episcopal chapel 1420 keller

rebuilt at 1216 ulhorn 1969
