founded 1883 mostly european orthodox, with bnai moshe but later separated typo synagogue adatai on 1910 sanborn construction begun 1904 prev in mozart hall adath israel for years at sixth and vine built new synagoge on outer wasthington completed 1955 held ue classes for some time torn down (years ago) new section of indiana bell office now occupies this location (addition 1974) 7 Adath Isreal (Orothodox) Jewish 101 Upper 6th ST, corner Vone ST 1905 - 1907 6th Vine 217 Synagogue Adath Isreal Hebrew 101 Upper 6th Street 1908 - 1910 6th Vine

1916 United Hebrew Institute build in rear of synagogue (fronting vine) three story $20,000 hebrew school 105 s 6th [1922]

leased to evansville college c1919 as college hall then chamber of commerce and WGBF radio, kept 3rd floor for social activities

1952 bought land from st marys, 1953 began construction moved 1956 bought by indiana bell razed june 1968 for parking. later addition c1974
