Evansville Library

In 1874 the Evansville Library Association disbanded and turned its property over to the city. It was placed in charge of the School Board, who set up a library in the former German Reformed church at 7th and Vine Streets, the same building which now contains the offices of the Superintendent and Business Manager of the Public Schools.
