Cordon of trucks protects store from crowd

Vernon Brown's new "master" market at 1301 West Franklin St is shown above after trailer trucks had been placed outside the store to protect the plate glass front from the shoving crowd of more than 3,000 persons who were on hand for the store's opening yesterday. The trucks were loaned by grocery distributors here.
