Built in 1876, this building replaced the old church across 2nd St. It was dedicated September 30, 1877.

spawned a church on jefferson ave 1900 and a third on olive st 1900

After the Presbyterian and Cumberland Presbyterian churches merged, for a short time it was the Chestnut St Presbyterian. First Cumberland moved in with Grace Presbyterian in 1909 and was renamed Grace Memorial Presbyterian. The vacated church was then sold to the Masons and used as a Shriners Temple /.Masonic Lodge new entrance1/9/1916ec p39 +pic
