Final school days at Carpenter

Shortly before reaching its hundredth anniversary, Carpenter School is closing for good at the end of the school year. The school's steadily decreasing enrollment no longer justifies its continuance. Standing in front of the 98-year-old building is Horace A. Wilhelmus, principal.
