Evansville's newest department store

The opening of the new Sears, Roebuck and company department store at Fourth and Sycamore Streets was one of the outstanding mercantile events here in 1925. The building, formerly occupied by the Mumford Hardware Company, was subjected to a thorough interior remodeling.
