H F Blount Plow Works
The H F Blount Plow Works was established in 1867 by Col. Henry F. Blount, an Evansville man who spent his latter years in Washington D.C. It was first located on Main Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets, where Miller clothing store is soon to be demolished. It soon put up a large and substantial building on Main Street from Illinois to Franklin Street, and is still there under the name of Burch Plow Works, A. V. Burch having become president in 1926
