The Old National Bank
The "Branch Bank at Evansville of the State Bank of Indiana" was established 1834 in a small store at Main and Water Streets. The following year it erected a fine building in the Greek temple style in the middle of the block on Main Street, which stood until very recent years and was the home of the Loyal Order of Moose. After many reorganizations and changes of name, it has become Old National Bank. We see here the building which served the bank so well from 1835 to 1916.
