Building began Washington in 1936 plans 1935 Referred to as East Side elementary but called Washington School by the time it opened Completely submerged in 1937 flood (not yet completed, delayed?) additions in 1953, 1959 addition in rear 1958 additional facilities and rooms at washington 50s side gym? to east good article in ecj 11/17/1935
