Want to find out more about your home? When was it built? Who was the original owner? Was this the first building at this location or did it replace another building? The HistoricEvansville.com team is now researching personal residences as well as businesses and other locations.

As always, the information we have online is available for free and you can search for your house by address or street name. However, with the amount of locations, some sites we simply haven't gotten around to researching even though the information is at our disposal. This service is primarily for houses in town, but if it was along a major route or just outside city limits we may have more

  • Get priority when we do research or hunt for pictures at the local libraries.
  • Get your building posted on our site provided it meets our criteria (usually as long as it's built before 1940)
  • We will also provide you with old street maps showing outline of the building if available
During normal work volumes, the service takes about 7-10 days and is free with a $10 or more donation.
